The company operates the consumer real estate Web site, www.domania.com, rated among the
top financial Web sites by Money Magazine. Domania was founded in 1989 and is now owned and
operated by Lending Tree, LLC.
Company History
Domania has been creating value for its clients through a unique blend of marketing services
and technology since its foundation in 1989 as Inpho, Inc. In its early days, Domania provided
telemarketing leads sourced through a unique 900-number service designed to identify pre-move
transactors. Early clients included Bank of America, GMAC and Consumer Reports.
In 1999 Domania successfully raised over $7 million in venture funding spearheaded by
Internet giant CMGi, and quickly became a hot online property. www.domania.com was launched
in February 2000, offering the company's flagship Home Price Check product with additional
tools and real estate services to consumers, borrowers, and lenders. The domania.com site was
named one of top real estate-related Web sites in the "Best of the Web: The Top 50 Financial
Web sites" by Money Magazine and was featured on NBC's "Today Show" as well as repeated stories
in the Wall Street Journal.
In 2001 Domania successfully transitioned from a Web-based startup to a marketing solutions
provider and signed marquee industry clients including JP Morgan Chase and Countrywide Home
Loans and IndyMac Bankcorp. In 2002 Domania's signature product, Portfolio Protect won industry
recognition including Lending Intelligence's Technology and Innovation Award. Domania also
added CitiMortgage and Charter One Mortgage to their client roster. In October 2002, HPC
Interactive LLC, a subsidiary of PRIMEDIA Inc., purchased the assets of Domania.
In March 2004, Domania was acquired by LendingTree, LLC (formerly known as LendingTree,
Inc.), a Delaware limited liability company with its corporate headquarters in Charlotte,
North Carolina. Our business goals still remain to provide multi-channel customer acquisition
& retention marketing solutions for our clients.
