Tips For Selling Your Home

Step 1 - Preparing to Sell

As you are preparing to sell, it helps to begin looking at your home from the eye of a prospective buyer. Does the window stick or does the faucet drip? Now is the time to make those minor repairs. You may have gotten used to them, but they’ll stick out to a buyer.

Step 2 - Pricing Your Home

It cannot be emphasized enough that perhaps the most important part of selling your home is pricing it correctly. Many sellers have lost money because they believed their home would sell at a higher price. Step 3 - Get a REALTOR®

You’ll want an agent that is experienced in your neighborhood and you may want to interview several agents and ask for a comparative marketing analysis. During the interview process, you should ask questions and find out how they intend to market your home. Step 4 - Curb Appeal

Outside you'll want to make sure the grass is cut and trees and shrubs are properly pruned. Outside clutter is kept to a minimum. Inside,make the home open and inviting allowing potential buyers to imagine themselves in the space. Your REALTOR® will help you with tips and tactics to help you with this step.

While these are some tips, working closely with your REALTOR® and thoroughly explaining your goals and your needs will help them provide you the necessary advice and recommendations to sell your home as quickly as possible and at the highest return possible.
